Clym,

Back atcha. Let’s start a mutual admiration society. We’ll both feel double plus good AND be in step with the “Administration”. Glenn

Double plus good, yup. Even Orwell could not have predicted all this. Of course, there was no social media to factor in...

Only the giant television screens one could not turn off in your rooms.

It's only a matter of time until we get telescreens. In fact, phones are almost there, picking up personal information and preferences from your apps and such. It's already a two-way street.

Judith,

I haven’t been able to escape your comment above. Plus I was looking at Caravaggio’s scary “Judith and Holofernes”.

Returning to ti can phoned next month.

Glenn,

I wish more people knew how vulnerable they are. It's all presented as more convenience and saving time -- for what?????

I know the story of Judith and Holofernes - she seduced him and then cut off his head, no? But I don't understand your last sentence.?

I meant to say that, to avoid ongoing hacking by, well, everyone, I’ll go back to tin can phones.

Aaah, Glenn, don't start me on the damage those phones have caused - to minds, culture, communication, kindness, and on and on...

What really scares me is all the junk Muskrat is allowed to send up in space, much of it "communication"-related. Is he stealthily being allowed to have his finger on the button of the global Internet?

Parenthetically, therre was a train problem in NYC yesterday because some switching? station on Long Island had old software which didn't match with newer stuff in Manhattan. Many people were stuck. How much of this will be allowed?

DOGE and Dear Leader don’t care a fig for legitimacy. They’ve done what they want. We hear good news about their failures, but a lot of MAGA’s successes are not publicized or even fully understood.

If turnabout is fair play, disappear The Donald -maybe Peru, adopted home of the new Pope.

Alas, Doge and Dear Leader ARE the new legitimacy. They said so.

Is that British? I learned it from a beer advert

Dunno if it's Brit, but it has that ring to my ear. Maybe it should be Breer or Breery. Was the advert for a British beer?
