As we endure the tenth year of Donald Trump’s political career, it’s worth asking: Who’s responsible for this nightmare?

There are the usual suspects. Rupert Murdoch. Vladimir Putin. Mr. and Mrs. Trump.

But someone else made this ordeal possible, and he hasn’t gotten the blame he deserves.

It’s time to fix that.
