What better way to celebrate the holidays than the gift of Ann Telnaes❤️?

Thank you, Andy! I've so enjoyed our collaborations this year and look forward to hopefully many more.

Andy was the first Substacker (is that a word?) to reach out to me after I left the WPost. Interviews are not in my comfort zone but he was friendly & funny, asked good, insightful questions so I felt as though I was chatting with my cartooning buddies.

I've followed and enjoyed Andy's brilliant work for years through The New Yorker and now here at Substack. I am so grateful for his friendship and his satire.

Thank you so much for consenting to that interview! That has been one of my absolute favorites in andy's body of work, and that's a pretty high bar. And, thanks for your insights and artistry!

Thank you! Even at 5 in the morning I am heightened by a little laugh. That’s the power of the truth. Happy holidays; we pray for a more peaceful new year.

These are the visual equal of TBR. “Mona Sleaza” is my favorite - the title alone is worth a Pulitzer, and the image itself is PERFECT! All of them capture the perverse values and ideology perpetuated by the current occupant of the White-and-Gold House. We’re so fortunate to have these to document the MAGA cult,as seen by Americans who value the Constitutio, for future historians. Bravo, Andy, for giving us the chance to see Ann’s wonderful work. BRAVA, Ann, for your clear-eyed talent and integrity!

Andy neglected to include in the post that he came up with "Mona Sleaza", as well as the other titles! One of our collaborations:)

Would someone please remind me of who Mona Sleaza is? I've forgotten…

Look at the writing on the picture frame and think of that jacket she wore. Took me a minute on that one.

Thank you, Tina. Melanoma. Malignant. I actually didn't see the writing on the frame, but went back and then it was indeed obvious.

In my opinion, it could be any of the MAGA women whom we see surrounding the Felon-in-Chief in various photos. The writing on the frame, though, makes it clear it is his current wife.

She’s fabulous! So glad she won again the Pulitzer Prize. The WAPO doesn’t deserve her brilliant work. Glad she moved to Substack. Thank you Andy for another great post. Happy holidays and be safe.

All wonderful; but with my humble respect, I would suggest she make the SOD's Neanderthal brow a bit more prominent. Funny, it just occurred to me as I wrote it that the initials for Secretary of Defense are "SOD...". He's a true SOD.

Actually his self-proclaimed new title makes him a true SOW.

Oh, but Petey is Secretary of WAR! SOW! Perhaps he will SOW what he reaps very soon. May all Our Dreams Come True in 2026! 😹💙

The conductor's baton: brilliant. (I'm an orchestra cello player. Conductors are narcissistic autocrats anyway.)

my only critique is that there should have been more volume in the seat of his pants to reflect all the shit he does.....

WaPo is lost to the darkness. Michael Ramirez is no replacement for the brilliance of Ann. Their editorial page is just like the WSJ now. Ann and Andy continuing their irreplaceable work on Substack is a great Christmas gift.

Thank you, Andy. I unsubscribed from the Post when Anne’s cartoon about the sycophants bowing to Trump was spiked. I was not surprised that she left soon thereafter. I am so grateful that her cartoons appear in Substack. The only 2 things I miss about the Post are the Capital Weather Gang and the crossword puzzles. Advice for Bezos from a historical figure far greater than he could ever imagine being: If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. US President Harry Truman.

Truly superb ! Ann’s genius has deftly moved us into the world of Animal Farm , Orwell’s scathing indictment of Stalinism. And of course, this Rogues’ Gallery will be on display at the Trump Smithsonian Museum 😉Thank you Andy !

With DT renaming buildings, monuments etc. after himself, I thought perhaps you could put a 'contest' out to your readership on what items they think might be more appropriate to rename for him. For example, instead of 'A-hole', perhaps 'D-hole'.
